African Regional Forum on Innovative Approaches to Addressing Informality and Promoting Transitions Towards Formality

This event brings together representatives from governments, workers, and employers across Africa to explore and share innovative solutions for addressing informality.

From November 13 to 15, 2024, the ILO will host the African Regional Forum on Innovative Approaches to Promoting Decent Work in the Informal Economy in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The forum will provide a platform for discussing best practices, identifying challenges, and forming strategic partnerships to promote the transition towards formal economies. As a lead-up to the 2025 International Labour Conference, the insights gained will contribute to shaping effective policies for decent work and inclusive economic growth in Africa​.
