This RBSA-funded intervention aims to prepare Timor-Leste’s workers and policymakers for a just transition to a formal and environmentally sustainable economy. This involves developing of policy instruments for just transition, capacity building for stakeholders, and establishment of platforms for citizen engagement. The intervention helps improve economic diversification and transition to environmentally sustainable production while promoting formal employment through social dialogue.

 

Beneficiaries

  • Governmental bodies, including the Vice-Prime Minister's office, which covers 
    • the Ministry of Coordinating Economic Affairs and 
    • the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, 
  • The Secretariat of State for Vocational Training and Employment, and 
  • Key stakeholders such as 
    • the Timor-Leste Trade Union Confederation, and 
    • the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Timor-Leste.

The project results aim to foster inclusive growth, greater formality, and climate resilience while addressing the concerns of vulnerable populations.
